John Fox attended California State University, East Bay, graduating with a BS in Business Administration with emphasis on finance. He worked for years in the mortgage industry, both in loan origination and in secondary marketing as a financial analyst. John earned his law degree from George Mason University School of Law, in Arlington, Virginia, which is consistently ranked as a top-tier law school by U.S. News & World Report.

Subsequent to a successful period of work as a civil litigation attorney, John decided to turn his attention to consumer bankruptcy, focusing on filings involving real estate debt.

John is a member of the State Bar of California. He is also admitted to the bar of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
